Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Kintsugo. By creating an account, joining the private beta, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Kintsugo.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kintsugo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Kintsugo only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Kintsugo is designed for individual learners. You are responsible for making sure your use of Kintsugo is allowed by the rules that apply to your school, workplace, exam program, or other organization.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Tell us at hello@kintsugo.com if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Kintsugo is currently an invite-only private beta. Referral codes, founder access, beta seats, free access, generation limits, and other beta features may be limited, changed, paused, or ended as the product develops.

If Kintsugo makes explicit grandfathering promises to you, we intend to honor those promises. The rest of the beta experience may change as we learn, fix, and improve the product.

Kintsugo helps you create, review, and rotate study prompts. It is not medical, legal, financial, academic, exam, licensing, or professional advice.

You remain responsible for what you study, how you study, and how you use the material outside Kintsugo. Kintsugo does not guarantee grades, exam results, admissions, licensure, or professional outcomes.

Kintsugo may use AI model providers to generate study variants from your founder cards, concepts, deck context, tags, existing variants, and settings needed to make useful prompts.

AI-generated variants can be useful, but they may be incomplete, unclear, or wrong. You should check important material against trusted sources, especially for medical, dental, scientific, or professional subjects.

AI never grades your answers. You privately recall, reveal the answer, and self-grade with Again or Good.

You own the learning content you create in Kintsugo, including your decks, concepts, founder cards, tags, and study notes.

You give Kintsugo permission to host, store, copy, display, process, back up, troubleshoot, secure, and use your content as needed to provide and improve the service. This includes using your content to generate variants for your account and to understand aggregate product patterns.

Do not upload content unless you have the right to use it in Kintsugo. You are responsible for the study material you add.

Kintsugo owns the service itself, including its software, design, features, brand name, and logo. These Terms do not transfer any of that to you.

Using Kintsugo gives you a limited, personal right to use the service while these Terms are in effect. Your own learning content stays yours, as described above.

Kintsugo is for studying concepts. Do not put patient records, protected health information, government IDs, passwords, private payment details, private financial details, or other highly sensitive personal data into cards, feedback, screenshots, voice notes, or other submissions.

Do not use Kintsugo to break the law, violate someone else's rights, harass or harm others, upload malicious code, scrape or overload the service, bypass access limits, reverse engineer private systems, or interfere with the security or reliability of Kintsugo.

Medical and dental learners may use Kintsugo to study medical concepts, but not to store real patient information or clinical records.

During the private beta, Kintsugo may offer free access, free generation, founder benefits, or other temporary plan rules. During this period, beta access, plan limits, generation limits, pricing, and feature availability may change before or after public launch.

If paid billing is enabled, billing details will be shown before purchase and handled by a payment processor. Payment processor terms may also apply.

Kintsugo may add, remove, rename, limit, pause, or change features as the product develops. We will aim to handle meaningful changes clearly and fairly for learners.

Kintsugo is provided as an early-stage service. We work to keep it useful and reliable, but the service may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or interrupted.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kintsugo is provided without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that every card, variant, schedule, statistic, or feature will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kintsugo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost study progress, or lost opportunities arising from your use of the service.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the total liability of Kintsugo to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD $100.

You can stop using Kintsugo at any time. You can contact hello@kintsugo.com for account or data requests.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk for Kintsugo or other users, abuses beta access, or is required to be restricted by law.

If something goes wrong, contact us first at hello@kintsugo.com. We will work with you to understand and resolve the issue informally before either side takes a more formal path.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

These beta Terms do not include an arbitration clause or class-action waiver.

The Privacy Policy explains what Kintsugo collects, how we use it, how AI providers fit into the service, and what choices you have. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are meant to work together.

We may update these Terms as Kintsugo changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page, changing the effective date, or sending an in-app or email notice when appropriate.

Your continued use of Kintsugo after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
